[dt. sinngem. »ein Abbild erzeugen«] das, Verfahren für den beschleunigten Zugriff auf Daten, die sich in einer langsam arbeitenden Speichereinheit wie z. B. einem ROM befinden. Zur Beschleunigung werden die Daten in schnell arbeitendes RAM kopiert (Shadow-RAM).
